This is what I believe in my heart and my own opinion of what I think of the story of Adam and Eve. The story of the to fruit trees in the middle of the garden. Why I think that it wasn't an actual fruit tree like it was described in the Bible I may be wrong but we all have our own beliefs of what kind of fruit tree that Adam Eve ate from. And why I believe God set Adam and Eve up to fail. However, God had to give Adam and Eve a choice. Without free will to choose, Adam and Eve would have not had true love. Because true love always requires choice. God wanted Adam and Eve to choose to love and trust Him.
The only way for Adam and Eve to make that choice is to give them a command of something that they was not allowed to do in the garden of Eden. Since God had planted in the garden all the different trees from which we now get fruit, the test was not too difficult. Adam and Eve had plenty to eat and a large variety of fruits from which to choose, and could have chosen to believe God. They were only commanded not to eat the fruit from this one tree in the middle of the garden. This particular fruit in the Garden that God said not to eat from was not a actual fruit that you would find on fruit trees. In the Bible the word fruit was used many times. The word fruit that God used was symbolic. Let me show you what I mean.
For instance, in Psalms 128:2 it says, “You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands.” Thus fruit here is the result of one’s labor. A second example, this time of bad fruit, is in Proverbs 1:31: “They will eat the fruit of their [evil] ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.”A third example, in Prov. 8:1-20, fruit (which here is the fruit of wisdom) is described as riches, honor, enduring wealth and prosperity. Here again he is not speaking of the fruit that you can eat from a fruit tree ; His word is the truth that comes from God’s wisdom. The Bible said, after Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, their eyes were opened and the LORD God said, in Genesis 3:22" The man has now become like one of us, knowing the difference between good and evil. I think that God gave her the freedom to make her own choice?
But, instead of partaking of her own choice, she only took and ate of the forbidden fruit, after she believed Satan 's lies over God. Therein lies the transgression. Now we know what the forbidden fruit was that she shared with Adam. This was the fruit that God did not want her to eat from. Yes, there were two trees in the garden and one of these trees was the tree of life. And the other tree good and evil. And the fruit that came from this tree was the lie from Satan that he fed her. Satan was the fruit of lies and deception in the tree of good and evil. After Adam and Eve disobeyed God by listening to Satan's lies they were changed. They were no longer content and worry-free. In Genesis 3:7 And the eyes of the both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. It was not like before when they were not ashamed.
Now that they had listened to the devil and disobeyed God, they were afraid. They were not like they used to be. Now they had fear. When God tells us not to do something, and we go against what he says we will have to suffer the consequence for our actions. And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
Adam responded. In Genesis 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the fruit from the tree, and I did eat. God asked Eve a question, and she responded. in Genesis 3:13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat from this tree. What does beguile mean beguiled means, to influence by trickery, mislead, or deceiving someone to make Eve think that Satan was right. And God was wrong which describes Satans fruit of lies and deception that he is a master of. A DAM AND EVE WAS SENT FORTH FROM THE GARDEN OF EDEN. Why did God prevent Adam from eating from the Tree of Life after he had sinned? This raises an interesting question. Why would God prevent Adam from eating from the Tree of Life after he had sinned? The Bible tells us that the last enemy to be destroyed is death (1 Corinthians 15:26). But if death is an enemy, wouldn’t it have been a good thing for Adam to live forever by eating from the Tree of Life?
While death is tragic and an enemy to God’s perfect creation, this same curse of death, is also what allowed Christ to become incarnate as a man and to actually die on the cross as a ransom for His people. If Adam had eaten from the Tree of Life after he had sinned, all mankind would have lived forever, estranged from God; and Christ, our Kinsman-Redeemer, would not have been able to die on the cross in redemption. In other words, if God did not subject sinful humanity with a curse of death, sinful man would not have any chance of being reconciled back to God. If God did not prevent Adam from eating from the Tree of Life after he had sinned, a future redemption through the physical death of one of Adam’s descendants (Jesus Christ) would not have been possible.
Why did God choose the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? God set up a test for Adam and eve knowing they would fail. It is clear that Eve knew she should not eat from this one fruit tree in the middle of the garden. Instead of believing God and trusting Him, after all He had done for them, Eve chose to believe the lies of Satan and believed that God was lying to her. We all know that Jesus is the tree of life. And Satan had to be the tree of knowledge of good and evil in Eden? I believe the fruit of the tree of the Knowledge of good and evil contained the spirit of Satan which entered mans soul in the beginning, causing shame, which caused separation from God.
She ate the forbidden fruit and convinced her husband to do the same, resulting in their loss of innocence and a broken relationship with God and each other. Why did God not allow Adam and Eve to enter back into the garden ? God then placed a Cherubim with a "flaming sword" to guard against any future entrance into the garden. (Genesis, 3:24) We still have the same choice as Adam and Eve. We can gain the knowledge of evil by directly participating in it or we can believe God and avoid the things of Satan that He has in store for us. What do you think the tree of life was in the garden of Eden? And what do you think the tree of life means to us in this day and time?
Jesus Christ. If you eat from this tree, you will have everlasting Life. This fruit is supposed to be eaten after Jesus Christ dies on the cross to give us everlasting life, through His word. The Bible tells us the only way that we can receive everlasting life is that we need to claim Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and this is considered food from the word. Did you realize that there were two trees in the Garden of Eden? And both of the trees had a purpose. The first tree in the garden of Eden that represented bad fruit, was Satan. And the second tree that was in the middle of the garden that represented everlasting life. This tree represented Jesus Christ.
The first tree represented our fruit of freedom of choice. Now we can choose to do something good or something evil. This way if we choose to eat this fruit, we would learn the knowledge and the consequences of our actions between good and evil. The fruit from the second tree represented Jesus Christ. If you eat from this tree, his promise to you will have everlasting Life. The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.
God instructed Adam and Eve not to partake of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, for eating the fruit, as God stated; “on the day that you eat from it, you will surely die" (Genesis, 2:17). Did God mean that Adam and Eve would physically die? NO, what He meant was that Adam would change his current state of existence. By not partaking of the fruit the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, Adam and Eve were effectively residing within the spiritual realm of immortality.
